One of the best investments we made
My husband and I moved to Tulsa in May 2024 and bought a historic house on Swan Lake. The house needed a lot of work, but we had a vision. Built in 1927, it was originally a duplex before being converted into a single-family home. We hired a fantastic team to handle the remodeling, but we made most of the design decisions independently. Since we plan to live here and not move again, we wanted the space to feel welcoming, warm, and open. One of the many positives of this Tudor-style house, which is relatively uncommon, was the abundance of natural light due to its many beautiful windows.
We decided on incorporating pops of color on a few walls, but when it came time to choose colors for our kitchen cabinets, library walls, and powder room, I froze. I realized I was in over my head as every color we sampled was a disappointment. In desperation, I searched for "color consultant in Tulsa," and that's when Claire's name popped up. I clicked on her website and felt like I had hit the jackpot—she was exactly what we needed!
Claire and I spoke over the phone and arranged a time for her to visit the house. Although the house was still in shambles, I led her to the basement, where our furniture, artwork, and Persian rugs were stored. She spent a few hours pulling paint swatches from her folder, matching them against our belongings, and walking around the house to analyze how they looked in different lighting. Ultimately, she created a cohesive color palette we could use throughout our home, from the walls to the cabinets to the pillows.
We are thrilled with the final result and cannot speak highly enough of Claire. Her services were one of the best investments we made in Tulsa.

Let her guide you to colors you will love!!!
Claire spent time here, comparing brick color, to roofing color, to colors of nature near the house. It used to be a tired, buttercream yellow, and now it is a beautiful clear blue! The trim is a lighter blue, but looks white from the street. Hiring Claire is the best thing I could have done. I was at a loss trying to choose paint from paint chips at Lowe's.

The vibe I was hoping for
We've been in our house for 10 years now, and I've been thinking about ways to give it a fresh new look without doing an outright remodel. I blame HGTV...I really love the cooler color schemes that are prevalent on that channel, but I have no interest at this time in changing flooring, cabinetry, granite furniture or big area rugs, so I thought that I was pretty much stuck with the warm color palette that we created over the years. Claire was great! She came into our home, listened to my desires, concerns and limitations, and then she got to work.
She took the time to assess each area and color match the major pieces that I need to work around and worked to find new paint colors that would work with my current furniture, cabinetry, brickwork etc. and bring about the vibe I was hoping for. However, it doesn't stop there.
She ran through each and every option with me to find what options sparked interest with me, and worked with me to bring together a cohesive palette so that my first floor and 2 story entry way flows and works together. I didn't feel pressured to move in a certain direction, and can honestly say that the palette is personalized to my home.

Gave me ideas I’d never thought about
I hired Claire for a color consult after I recently updated my kitchen counter tops to granite and installed a subway tile back splash. I loved my new counters and my backsplash, but the update didn’t quite yield the pop/change I was looking for.
Claire was fantastic! She worked with the colors already present in my space to give me options of different directions I could go, w/o re-doing my entire great room.
She literally spent hours creating a palette representing all the colors in my space. She then narrowed the focus by what spoke to me and what gelled with her color expertise.
Rather than spending hours and days with tiny paint chips on my walls, followed by test patches, Claire gave me ideas I’d never thought about.
I’m actually painting the cupboards (2 different colors!) to get the look I wanted, changing the ceiling color to make the room more spacious, and I know exactly what color my new couch and chairs will be.
Claire’s process is thorough and gives you a clear direction to make your space into your very own without risking a blunder of buying a purple couch that doesn’t “work” or painting an entire room only to have your grey wall look like split pea soup in amber light.
Highly recommend her service, especially if you are updating your space on a budget.

Cohesively tied my house together

I made a series of horrific paint color choices in my 20s, including a red-hot orange that I hoped would be a soft terracotta and a sickening neon green when I was wishing for a soft natural color. This year I found myself living in a beautiful nearly century old home. In the age of perfect Instagram interiors, I had a lot of anxiety bringing its style into 2020.
Claire patiently helped me achieve the monochromatic white look of my dreams. With white being so complicated, she effortlessly pulled colors from my existing granite and trim and discovered fantastic color subtleties, even incorporating existing furnishings and favorite art, making sure that the color we chose would work equally well in all rooms of the house.
